Raptor’s Call (The Hawks, #0.5)
About
In a land gripped by tyranny, a masked rebel stirs the embers of revolution. Assassins are not always the bad guys.
Cadmon has always been a loyal member of the King’s Guard, shouldering the blame for serving the corrupt king of Abbarkon. But when he is ordered to perform yet another abomination, he can no longer stand idly by while innocent lives are destroyed.
Bent on fighting back, he vanishes into the wilderness to build a rebel army powerful enough to topple the reigning forces. However, in the peace of the remote village, the urgency to revolt fades. It takes the arrival of a young, masked warrior to prod him toward a perilous mission to assassinate the worst of the unscrupulous dukes.
Delve into the untold story of Cadmon’s rebellion, where bravery is forged in the face of darkness and the line between right and wrong blurs. In this thrilling prequel, discover the origins of the Rebels of Halklyen and witness the birth of a legend.
Praise for this book
This is a very good book, far better than I was expecting. The characters are admirable, courageous, and want to help a badly treated kingdom, the plot is straightforward and easily followed, and the premise is taking the fear away by fighting the evil pervasive in the kingdom. I most certainly recommend this prequel.
A great book! I listened to the e-book, and found that the pacing of the storytelling and the plot kept the listener engaged and captivated in the story. A fantastic prequel; will be reading the rest of the books in the series.
If you like swords and axes and magic and potions, you will really like this story.
Awesome book. It was a page turner and the suspense was exciting and adventure. I was on verge of my seat and I couldn’t barely put it down. It was an action packed of a battle field . I highly recommend this book and you won’t be disappointed. I am voluntarily leaving my honest opinion.
Great intro book. I loved the premise and the story. I can't wait for the next book in the series.
