The White Wolf (The Hawks Book 3)
About
The Hawks thought the war was over. A mad sorcerer, a barbarian horde and the elven army think otherwise.
Book 3 in The Hawks Trilogy, The White Wolf is a page-turning, sword-fighting fantasy adventure for middle grade and up.
Thousands of barbarian warriors from the frozen land of Nairt’kun arrive in Abbarkon’s north while an elven army prepares to attack from the south. Among the northern raiders is Venadis, a young slave girl. Her masters fear her beast-shifting magic and force her to wear an iron collar. Intent on freedom, she slips away from the blood-thirsty horde and with her healing powers, she earns a place in the Hawks.
When Flint, Fleta and the others head south on a mission to assassinate the elven emperor, she goes with them. The elves must be stopped. Will the Hawks get there in time to change the course of the war?
Mother and son authors, Paula Baker and Aidan Davies team up to tell the final chapter in the non-stop adventures of the Hawks. Perfect for fans of J.R.R. Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings, J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter, Darren Shan’s Demonata, and John Flanagan’s Ranger’s Apprentice.

Praise for this book
Venadis is a tremendous character. I immediately felt sympathetic to her and eager to learn more about her story. Her psychology, particularly as a survivor of trauma, is very compelling.
Good brother against bad brother. Wars everywhere! Thank goodness for healers. Never a dull moment in this the final book.Great trilogy! Can’t wait for the next book.
The final book in this fantastic trilogy. And, it was by far the best one. There were a few new characters added and of course most of the original characters. I really enjoyed the journey. Lots of magic, battles, and twists and turns you just don't see coming. Of course, once again, the character growth and world building by Paula Baker and Aiden Davies is superb. I recommend not just this book, but the whole series.
The White Wolf (The Hawks Book 3), my fifth read from author Paula Baker, co-written with her son Aidan Davies. A 394-page entertaining & enjoyable adventure. Epic fantasy can't be told in a single book and The Hawks series has been no exception. “I received a Kindle copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review." The gifting of this book did not affect my opinion of it. I'll read more from this author as I get them. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).
